From our very first moment in life to our very last, the Breath is our truest ally. When we want to hide something from ourselves, the Breath runs shallow without touching it in our depths. When it’s time to face what we’ve been avoiding, the Breath leads us surely into acceptance, forgiveness, and equanimity. When we know how to use the Breath consciously, we can return home to our divine beauty and wholeness whenever we’ve forgotten who we really are.
Welcoming the conscious connected Breath to touch every thought, emotion, or sensation that arises, we’re able to be fully alive to the whole human range of experience. Spiritual teacher Rick Jarow defines this as Abundance. The Breath helps us to live in peace, flow with abundance, and trust our resilience to meet life on life’s terms.
The Breath helps us by gently releasing what no longer serves from our past and making space for truly useful beliefs that are current and consistent with our human divine nature. By rooting our daily actions in uplifting beliefs, we raise our frequency and become more vital in using our individual gifts for the greater good.
Working with the Breath is a present-forward spiritual approach to any of life’s challenges. Knowing it’s safe to be fully alive now, there is no worry about the future or regret about the past. We inhabit this moment and this human experience.
Breathing in, I calm body and mind.
Breathing out, I smile.
Dwelling in the present moment,
I know this is the only moment.
